Garden Design & Mentorship
Most gardeners have the soil and the effort. What's missing is a clear design and someone who's done it before to guide you.
I take bare pieces of land and turn them into emerald groves. I want to help you build your grove too.

One spot per month. Each project gets real attention, not a template.
Most gardeners I've talked to don't need someone to do it all for them. They just need a clear process and someone to check in with along the way. That's what this is. We work through the design together so you understand it, you own it, and you can keep building on it after we're done.
Each month we do two one-hour calls and I'm available between sessions for text and voice note Q&A. We go through my process for designing a garden that actually fits your land, your life, and your goals, not some generic plan that makes sense on paper but falls apart in practice.
From confusion and overwhelm about where to even start, to a confident, clear plan for a food production system matched to your land and your life.
Some people want to skip the back and forth and just get a professional plan handed to them. That's what this is. I use my background in permaculture design and market gardening to build you a food growing system that's specific to your land, your climate, and what you're actually trying to accomplish.
This isn't a generic layout. It's a real design, the same approach I use on my own farm in the BC mountains, adapted for your space. Whether you're starting fresh or trying to improve what you've already got, you'll end up with a plan that tells you exactly what to do, where, and when, along with a management system to keep it going.
Pricing starts at $395 and adjusts based on land size and project complexity. We'll figure out the right number before you commit to anything.
From uncertainty about what you have or where to go next, to a completely done garden design and management system ready to hand off and implement.

50 crops, one table. Find what you want to grow, follow the row, and you've got your garden plan started. No more looking up the same stuff over and over.
You'll also get my email series on no-till, no-spray growing, straight from what I've learned farming in the Slocan Valley.
About Ryan
I left university early, spent a couple of years working on farms in Australia and New Zealand, and heard a permaculture podcast in an apple packhouse that changed the direction of everything. I drove across Canada to the BC mountains and spent three years on an organic farm learning the basics before bootstrapping my own operation on leased land.
Now I run Emerald Grove, a no-till, no-spray market garden in the Slocan Valley, and I sell at local farmers markets using growing methods I've tested and refined in a real climate, on real soil, in a real short season.
The thing I've learned from all of it is that most gardening problems aren't plant problems. They're design problems. People are trying to grow food without a system, and they end up overwhelmed, looking up the same stuff over and over, or abandoning the whole thing because it got too complicated.
That's what I work on with people. A garden that makes sense for your land and your life, built from the ground up with a clear design and a plan that actually holds together over time.

It's coming later this year, and it's going to be the most affordable way to get my full system and have real people around you while you use it.
The same process I use on my farm, broken into seven clear days so you actually finish it.
Real-time sessions on seasonal topics, with time to ask questions and get actual answers.
